A Lot of Flash and Not Much Substance

I tried to watch the pilot episode of Fox's new show Fringe tonight. I found the plot kind of interesting, but I didn't care for any of the characters. If I can't care about the characters I can't get interested in a show.

So after less than an hour of the two hour pilot, changed the channel to watch a couple episodes of House instead. Now there's a show that has characters I can care about. I watched the episode that had House's parents on.

I know how that goes. I kinda contemplated watching that, but decided "nah".

Don't guess I've seen that episode of House. But then, I've only seen S1 and S4 episodes.

My dad and I were looking for something to watch last Saturday night so we thought we'd check out the pilot of Fringe. My dad watched a few episodes of House this summer with me and he seemed to like it so we switched over to it. I'm not sure what season that episode was from.

I started watching s1 when it was on originally and didn't like House or Cameron so quit watching until last season. Now I like both characters much more.
