Sam was sitting in the recliner Jack and Daniel had just brought in with two strollers next to her. It had been a month since Cam’s cousin Kelly and her husband’s funeral. Cam and Daniel were moving into their new house with Joey and Tracy.

Joey and Tracy had stayed with Cam’s parents for the last month until Cam and Daniel could find a house for all four of them and a dog.

“Sam!”

Sam looked up from where she had been relegated by the guys. It had been a little over a week since she had given birth by C-Section to Emily and Christina.

A black and white dog came charging through the living room followed by an eleven year old boy with sandy blond hair. “Joey,” Sam called to him without yelling.

Joey stopped in his tracks and turned to Sam. “Sorry,” Joey said. “I didn’t wake them did I?” He walked over next to the stroller that held his baby sister and peeked in.

“No,” Sam said patting the boy’s back.

“Joey,” Cam’s voice came from just outside the living room. He stepped in holding Sam the dog by his collar. “I thought we agreed to keep the dog in the back yard.”

Daniel and Teal’c entered the living room carrying the couch with Jack following them and giving directions. “Not that way, Daniel,” Jack snapped.

“Jack,” Daniel said in a low voice glaring at the other man. “Cam and I know where we want the couch.”

“It’ll just get in the way,” Jack was whining now.

“Daniel,” Vala walked in carrying a lamp. “Where would you like this lamp?”
“On the end table by the front window.”

“On the table behind the recliner.”

Vala looked at Cam and Daniel as they spoke at once and put the lamp down in the middle of the room.

More bickering ensued, waking up the babies. Joey ran up the stairs followed by his dog. Sam had had enough, she stood up, took a deep breath and whistled as loud as she could. “That’s enough!”

Everyone went quiet for a moment before putting everything down and moved to the strollers. Sam picked up Emma while Jack picked up Christina. Cam picked up Tracy while Daniel stood next to Cam.

When they got the babies calmed down they looked around. “Where’s T?” Jack asked.

“Where’s Vala?” Sam asked.

“Where’s Joey?” Cam asked.

“And Sam?” Daniel asked.

Sam almost said something when she heard her name only to stop herself in time when she realized Daniel was referring to the dog. God this was going to get old.

Cameron handed Tracy over to Daniel and headed for the stairs only to see their missing members of the group coming down the stairs.

“Cam,” Joey said.

“Yeah buddy?” Cam kneeled down to Joey’s level.

“I’m sorry I let Sam slip through the door when I was coming in.”

Cameron pulled the boy into a hug patting him on the back. “That’s okay kiddo, just try to be more careful next time. I know he’s a handful.”

“Are we finished yet?” Vala asked. “I’m famished.”

“Just a few more things and we’ll be done,” Cam said.

“Now, as I was saying,” Jack began after putting his daughter back in her double stroller.

“Oh no,” Sam cut in. “First of all, Vala would you mind taking Joey out to the back with Sam until we’ve got this straightened up?”

“We?” Jack asked. “You’re suppose to be taking it easy dear.”

“I plan to, honey, Sam shot back. “You guys will be doing all the lifting. I will be directing.”

Jack, Daniel and Cam exchanged looked chastised. Sam caught the little smirk on Teal’c’s face and winked at him over her husband’s shoulder. Soon everyone was doing as instructed.

A little over an hour later everyone was spread out in the living room eating pizza. “You know you’re not going to be allowed to eat in the living room after this,” Cam told Joey who was sitting next to him on the floor.

In the middle of the floor a blanket had been spread out and the babies had been put down on it. Tracy was crawling all around while the two infants lay on their backs.

“All right, I think it’s time I got these three home,” Jack stood up and walked over to his wife. “Vala, Teal’c, you want a ride?”

“Do you have to go?” Joey got up and rushed over to the others as they got ready to leave. Daniel and Cameron had gone back to Cam’s parents the day before to bring the kids to Colorado. They had slept in the living room of the new house the first night. The day they came to Colorado Cam and Daniel took Joey shopping for a bed and other furniture for his bedroom.

Joey hadn’t met the others until today. He had no idea Teal’c and Vala were from another planet.

“Sorry sport,” Jack smiled down at the boy. The others had caught a wistful look in Jack’s eyes a few times when he looked at Joey.

Cameron grabbed Tracy while Daniel and Teal’c helped with Emily and Christina. Jack gave Sam a hand off the floor.

A few minutes later Daniel and Cam stood at the front door with the kids waving to their friends as they drove out of the driveway.

“All right Joey, I want you to get your teeth brushed and into your pajamas,” Cameron said.

“Do I have to?” The boy whined.

“You have another hour before you have to go to bed,” Cam said. “But I want you ready to. Unless you want to go to bed now.”

Joey rushed off up the stairs leaving Cam and Daniel grinning at each other. They walked up the stairs together and into Tracy’s room. Together they got Tracy ready for bed. “Think we can do this?” Cam asked.

“It’s not going to be easy,” Daniel said resting a hand on Cam’s back.

Cameron turned into Daniel’s arms after putting Tracy down in her crib. They kissed. “Have I thanked you?” Cameron asked.

“Yes,” Daniel said. “It’s not necessary.”

“Have I told you I love you lately?” Cameron kissed Daniel again.

“Yes,” Daniel held Cam a little tighter.

“Cam, Daniel,” Joey’s voice came from the doorway.

The two men shook their heads and separated looking at the boy. “Yes, Joey?”

“Can Sam come in now?”

Cam ruffled Joey’s hair. “Yeah, he can come in now. What do you want to do for the next forty-five minutes?”

“I thought I had an hour?” Joey pouted following them out to the hall.

“Yes and part of that hour was spent getting ready for bed,” Cam reminded him.

“Ah man.”

Daniel and Cameron laughed following Joey down the stairs.
