Title: Kisses and Cooties
Summary: Kissing leads to cooties, at least that’s what twelve year old Joey thinks
Characters/Pairings: Daniel/Cam, Joey and Tracy and a dog named Sam
Author: sg_lab
Rating: PG for a swear word
Disclaimer: Not mine except for Joey and Tracy and the dog named Sam
A/N: Part of my series about Daniel and Cam raising Cam’s cousin’s kids

Daniel was standing at the kitchen sink when he heard noises coming from the living room. He continued washing the dishes knowing he wouldn’t be alone for long.

After another five minutes of sounds of stomping and muffled voices along with a dog barking there was silence. Until he heard the footsteps behind him and felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist.

“Shit,” Daniel sputtered pulling away from freezing hands.

“Language,” Cam said.

Daniel turned around giving Cam a baleful look. “Have fun in the snow?”

“Yes,” Cam kissed Daniel keeping his hands behind his back until they were warmed up.

They heard a lighter set of footsteps but continued kissing until they heard gagging noises. They parted to look at twelve year old Joey Cam’s cousin who they were raising with his sister Tracy. The boy had his mouth opened and his index finger pointed toward his throat as he made fake gagging sounds.

“Is there a problem?” Cam went over behind Joey grabbing the boy by his waist and lifting him up. He gave his little cousin a sloppy kiss on the cheek.

“Blech,” Joey wiped his cheek.

Cam laughed and set Joey back down on the floor.

“You don’t like to see us kissing, Joey?” Daniel asked.

Joey screwed up his face. “Who wants to see their parents kissing?” He shook his head and left the kitchen.

“I wouldn’t worry,” Cam wrapped his arms around Daniel. “He thought Kelly and Jeff kissing were gross too.”

“Cooties,” Daniel said.

“Yep,” Cam laughed. “But I think I like your cooties.”

Daniel grinned leaning in for another kiss. Sounds from the baby monitor interrupted them.

They separated and left the kitchen together dodging Sam, Joey’s dog, as well as the mine field of toys scattered about to get to two year old Tracy just waking up from her nap.

The End
