Daniel returned home that night. Cameron followed him to their room after they ‘tucked the kids in’. Joe and Tracy indulged them this just this one time.
Cameron moved up behind his lover and wrapped his arms around the other man’s waist. He rested his chin on Daniel’s shoulder.
Daniel let himself settle into Cam’s arms. The last couple of days had been a sort of haze for him. He hadn’t really given himself time to think.
After a few minutes they separated and went about the business of getting ready for bed. Cameron climbed into bed after Daniel pressing his front to Daniel’s back and wrapping his arms around the other man.
“How are you?” Cam finally asked.
“Don’t,” Daniel said fidgeting in bed.
“Okay,” Cam pressed a kiss to the back of Daniel’s neck.
Daniel rolled over onto his back and pulled Cameron halfway over him. They kissed.
Cameron’s hand reached down tucking under Daniel’s t-shirt moving back up teasing his lover’s nipples.
Daniel groaned pressing his head back into the pillow under him.
Cameron kissed down the side of Daniel’s neck and pushed up his t-shirt to kiss his way down Daniel’s chest. He came to Daniel’s boxers and pushed them down his hips to free him. His tongue swiped a path down the firm flesh before him.
Daniel’s hips jerked up as Cam took him in. It didn’t take long before he was coming down Cam’s throat.
Daniel rolled over pressing Cam down on his back still breathing hard. He pulled Cam’s underwear down enough to grab his cock and stroke him.
Cameron’s mouth fell open, but he didn’t make a sound. Years of having kids in the house taught them to be quiet.
“Damn,” Daniel said.
“What?” A dazed Cam looked at him.
“Now we have to clean up,” Daniel said.
Cameron rested back and chuckled.

Daniel opened his eyes and turned to the alarm clock. He sighed. It was two in the morning. He hadn’t really fallen asleep, mostly dozing for the last few hours. He gave up the pretence of sleep and sat up. He looked over and smiled watching his lover sound asleep.
Daniel got up and put on a robe before going out the door and down the stairs until he came to the living room. When he turned on a small lamp he noticed the photo album sitting on the coffee table. He sat down on the couch and took the album with him to set it on his lap.
Homer jumped up on the couch curling up next to Daniel’s side.
Daniel smiled and opened the book to the first page. He and Cameron started the album when they arrived at Cam’s parents’ to take the kids to live with them.
There were pictures of Wendy and Frank with the kids and various combinations of them in pictures. They took pictures of everyone the day they moved into the house.
After that there were various pictures from birthdays and Christmases. And of course the first day of school. Cam insisted the kids had to have their pictures taken every year on the first day of school.
He came to a picture of him and Cameron standing together. It was from their fifth anniversary together. Some days Daniel wondered how he met someone who got him to settle down in a house with two kids and a dog (now cat).
Daniel came to a section labeled ‘SG-1 Then and Now’. Daniel frowned, he hadn’t seen this before. Cam did most of the work on the photo album.
Turning the page, Daniel found a picture the team when Jack was in charge back in the early days. Daniel shook his head at his hair back then. Everything was new and exciting and yet he had the weight of Shar’e and Skaara being held by the Goa’uld.
“Damn, I told Cameron he needed to put that away.”
Tracy’s voice startled him. He looked up to see the teenager coming over and sitting next to him on the couch.
“Language,” Daniel lightly chastised.
Tracy ignored him and took the album from Daniel.
“What was that you were saying?” Daniel asked.
“This was supposed to be a surprise for Christmas,” Tracy said. “How much did you see?”
“Just the first picture,” Daniel said.
“What were you thinking when you had that hairdo?” Tracy snickered.
Daniel couldn’t think of a decent comeback so simply stuck his tongue out at her.
“Uncle Teal’c was once bald?” She continued.
“For a long time he was,” Daniel said. “He never did say why he decided to grow hair. There’d been a time he was rather insistent on staying bald,” Daniel then went into telling her about their body switching experience with Machello’s device and how Teal’c had almost shaved Jack’s hair. It was a relief to be able to tell the kids more about what they did.
The truth about the Stargate coming out was frightening for the kids at first. Joe was grown and married to Sharon, but Tracy was in her early teens.
“You knew Uncle Jack just before he went gray,” Tracy said laughing at the image Daniel created through the story.
Daniel smiled. “He always did blame me for his gray hair.”
“And Aunt Sam had short hair,” Tracy was quieter.
“A lot of changes over the years,” Daniel said wrapping an arm around Tracy’s shoulders. “I suppose we should get some sleep, the funeral is tomorrow.”
“How about a snack first,” Tracy said getting up off the couch and tugging on Daniel’s hand.
“Okay,” Daniel let her pull him up and the cat jumped off the couch. He followed her into the kitchen.
“Nothing weird, though,” Tracy said. Daniel had a tendency for what he called exotic foods. Tracy just called it slimy and gross.
“All right,” Daniel agreed. “I think we have some icing left from your birthday cake and some gram crackers.”
“Perfect,” Tracy said digging into the refrigerator.
