Doctor Who, BSG
Tonight's ep. of Doctor was just freaking cool. I can't remember the last time I watched something that had moments that startled me. That was one scary werewolf. It was kind of like the creepiness I used to get when watching The X-Files (not that the shows are alike much).
I really liked Sir Robert's wife Isabelle. She really took charge and took care of the maids. Figured out the mistletoe and threw a boiling pot of the stuff at the werewolf to stall for time. The Torchwood references are fascinating me. I can't wait to see where this goes.
I watched BSG tonight more or less. I've only seen a few ep. of the show. I watched last season's finale today and liked for the most part. I've found this show a little too melodramatic for my taste. I wanted them to get back to Galactica more in this ep. And I wanted to see more of Roslyn as well as Adm. Adama. I didn't find Starbuck's storyline all that interesting. And I just didn't care for the stuff on the planet. I think I'm going to be picking Numb3rs over this show. It's not a bad show. Just isn't really my taste I think.
And if I didn't love the song Saving Me by Nickelback the constant advertising of this show would have driven me completely insane.

Yeah, the whole Starbuck/Apollo thing does nothing for me. The dialogue turned me off the first time I watched it. I thought it was way too melodramatic. It's a little better or I'm more used to it, but it still can annoy. When I started watching Babylon 5 again I had a hard time getting into the dialogue and the way it was spoken at first, but I was able to get past it with that show.
I never watched the original BSG so I don't have an opinion on the change of Starbuck's gender. Dirk Benedict who played Starbuck in the original will always be Templeton "Face" Peck to me. :D
Now Rodney and Sheppard as women is just all kinds of scary and wrong. :p

SG: Atlantis is paper free for cryin' out loud.

That's why I love Stargate, both shows, I don't feel like they pretend to be anything more than what they are. That's why I don't feel like complaining all the time about it. I may grumble about something done in an ep. but by the next ep. I usually let it go. S2 of Atlantis may not have been up to par with the first season, but I just let it go and wait for s3. If it hasn't gotten any better I'll quit watching.

Also in BSG's season finale Kara came back to Galactica. She was with a guy and getting drunk. Lee comes in and she starts making out with this guy. I thought why would anyone want Lee to have Kara. Of course they're both seriously messed up. Talk about your disfunctional relationships.
Whenever I type Dirk Benedict's name I want to type Blocker as his last name. Dirk Blocker was an actor on the show Bananza. And I haven't even seen a whole eps of that show. *headdesk*
Yes, I got through this post without deleting. :)
