I like this. We get to see so much 'on' Neal on the show, always projecting that sparkly facade, that it's nice to spend some time with the 'real' Neal who exists inside his head. I'm not sure the show has been doing a good enough job of showing that to us this season, so it was nice to see it in this fic.
