Title: The Clay Pot
Author: sg_lab
Rating: G
Pairing: Sheppard/Weir
Genre: Angst
Spoilers: This set early s4. Vague reference to character changes
Summary: John needs to hold onto something

John walked through the halls of Atlantis. His pack was tucked securely under his arm.

He looked back a couple of times to see if anyone was following him. It wasn’t a big deal; he just didn’t want to answer any questions. He didn’t want sympathetic eyes to look at him. And he didn’t want to see a look of someone who knew what he was feeling because they had been there too.

He entered his quarters and locked the door. Opening the pack, he pulled out the handmade clay pot. With care he set it down next to a picture of a woman with long brown curly hair.

Thank you. I loved that paragraph.

I started with the "he didn't want to answer any questions" and the next two lines just came to me. Each line represented a different member of his team to me. The questions was Rodney. The sympathetic eyes were Teyla. And the one who knew what he was feeling was Ronon.
