Am I the only one who used to see Jack O'Neill as someone with more to him than just funny one liners and appreciated him for being more than funny one liners?
I've just watched seasons one and two and have started season three... there was more to Jack than 'funny'. As an Air Force officer, he was a very believable character. But then I think the writers got complacent and RDA got bored (can't say I blame him) and it shows. A lot.
There is many many aspects to Jack than just his humor. I always thought he used the "humor" to detract from his serious side, just so he can take ppl by surprise. Use it to his advantage, you know?
