NCIS article

Am I tired. I went and got a Mother's Day card and a birthday card for my mother. It's her birthday this month as well as Mother's Day tomorrow. Then I went with my dad to help him pick out a duvet for my mother. I'm not sure it's what she'll want but oh well, she can always exchange it.

TV Guide's cover story was about Ziva and Tony from NCIS. I think it's next week's edition. There were some comments from Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo.

It doesn't sound there's going to be any consumation of the relationship between Tony and Ziva (I refuse to use the name smush) anytime soon if ever. I just hope it doesn't become too focused. I became sick and tired of Mac and Harm on JAG very quickly.

One of Michael Weatherly's comments was that moving the UST to RST too soon ruins things. I kinda agree on one hand. At least I agree with some relationships. Mostly the ones I'd have a hard time imagining them together in a romantic relationship. Tony and Ziva are one of those I have a hard time seeing in an actual relationship. But those relationships that continue with UST can get very tedious and boring after a certain point. And there's a risk they could get too much of a focus.

MW also said about his show Dark Angel that the characters got together too soon and it ruined it. I disagree with him here. I wanted to see Max and Logan together. I thought they were actually right for each other. They just screwed up things with that stupid story line where if Logan touched Max he would die. And then they threw in Logan's jealousy of Max's friendship with Alec.

Personally I prefer characters that behave like adults and tell the other person they're interested in them and things actually move from there. e.g.: Larry/Megan on Numb3rs, John and Delen on Babylon 5.Or established relationships. d.g.: Zoe and Wash on Firefly.

Although as long as a show is about something more than just romantic relationships like The Unusuals I have no problem with a background relationship. Or Castle is another great show that doesn't feel like it is all about UST between the two characters.

And for crying out loud, no back and forth together not together, or the proverbial revolving door of men/women for the lead character every few months.

All just my very humble opinion.
