It's over. The first season of Pitch is over. :'( Now I have to wait to find out if we get a second season. Might not find out until May.

It was such a good episode. I'm probably going to do a rewatch of the season soon, which is something considering it's a broadcast network show. Most of the shows I rewatch are cable.

I have seen the first eight episodes of Murdoch Mysteries Season 9. season 9 spoilers through episode 8 )

Such a good episode all around. Pitch has so many good characters and great writing. Wonderful female characters. Only one more episode of the season and we still don't know the show's fate. #RenewPitch please. I need a Pitch icon.

The new FOX show Pitch is my new favorite show. I'm not going to go into in depth right because it is late and I need to get to bed. But it's a fictional story of the first woman in Major League Baseball. I just love it so much and I'm afraid for its future. I've heard the ratings aren't so great. I swear I don't think they've promoted it enough.

It has a short first season which is almost over. :(

I need to find a icon for the show.

There are many groups that get mentioned when talking under-representation or poor representation in films and television. Race, gender and the lgbtq. But there is one that never gets a mention in the mainstream; the disabled.

I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't profess to have a fully informed opinion beyond the reviews I have read online, but Me Before You does not look like the best representation of the disabled.

Maybe I'll go further into detail later on this movie on the issues I have with it, but I can't get my thoughts together and I think I should see the movie first.

It's a little depressing when you feel like the only one who likes a certain character.

Season 3 of Sleepy Hollow has come to an end. If by some miracle the show gets a season 4, I will not be watching.

Season 1 held so much promise. It was a great season. And then we got season 2. It was a total disaster.

Somehow it got a season 3 and while there were some improvements, it just didn't come anywhere near the quality of season 1. And the way it ended pretty much killed it for me.

Well, it's not really a new show, it's started in 2012 I believe. Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. I believe [livejournal.com profile] vickysg1 mentioned a little while ago. It advertised here a few days ago that it would be premiering tonight.

It's an Australian show set in Melbourne in the 1920s. Phryne Fisher is a private detevtive. She is brilliant. I can't wait to see more of this show.

I am really getting tired of advertisements of new shows or returning shows popping up at the bottom of my TV screen. I keep getting freaked out by a blue ballooned latex glove with a smiley face floating up from the bottom of my screen. Others just have these massive images appear at the bottom of my screen.

I remember one year some network would have a character from one of the shows on the network at the bottom corner and then a sudden explosion of sort of confetti like white stuff would surround them.

Networks, stop it already.

Although also on the subject of advertising in the middle of a tv show, I am probably the only one who doesn't notice when a show is using a car in a scene to highlight the car because it is a major advertiser for the show. It just goes right over my head.

I just finished watching the episode A Midnight Train to Kingston from season 7 of Murdoch Mysteries. Spoilers for episode )

Finally got around to watching the Syfy channel's new show Dark Matter from Stargate's Mullie and Mallozzie. minor spoilers for first episode )

Finished watching the first season of Netflix series Grace and Frankie starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Jane and Lily were fantastic together. Looking forward to the next season.

I just want to watch one lousy episode of a TV show on Demand. All the episodes of season four of Grimm that have aired are available on Demand, but episode two is only showing in HD and I don't have HD. I go to NBC's website and find the episode, but I have to sign up with my cable provider or something to access the damn episode. Why do they have to make things so difficult?

Some ABC renewals and cancellations. On the plus side Marvel's Agent Carter is getting a second season, but the minus side Forever has been cancelled. :(

I recently started watching Broadchurch. I wasn't going to watch all at once. Saw the first two episode a few days apart. After the second episode, the next day (today) I watched all of the last six episodes.

I am seriously hooked on this show. And I just watched season 2's premiere.

British shows are awesome.

12 Monkeys

I watched the pilot episode of the new Syfy series 12 Monkeys based on the 1990's movie of the same name. I never saw the original movie so I have nothing which to judge the series against.

Lots of spoilers for pilot )

I find promos for new episodes of TV shows quite irritating. They're so manipulative. And it's not just how they arrange bits of scenes together. Sometimes they will actually use an entirely different take for a clip in the promo than what we actually see in the episode once it airs.

Minor spoilers for tonight's episode of Elementary )

A few years ago when Eureka was still on I was very disappointed when a scene in a promo did not turn out the same way in the episode. There was a different line in final cut. I thought it was funnier the way it happened in the promo.

Finally my computer let me onto LJ tonight. Although one journal on my flist is acting really strange whenever I click on reply to her posts. I click to go to leave a comment from my flist page. It takes to her post only for a few seconds only to jump to her most recent posts page. In every other journal on my flist I haven't had this problem. It's really weird.

In other news I read today that Continuum is renewed for a fourth set to begin sometime in 2015 and it will be the last season with only six episodes to wrap everything up. I'm not liking this trend of last seasons of shows only being six episodes when theses shows are usually at least twice that number per season.

Only two more episodes left of White Collar. :( I may cry when it comes to an end.
sg_lab2: (NealMozzie)
Great episode, hope it can keep this quality up. spoilers )
