I had to have my cat put to sleep today. She had stopped eating for a while. I finally got her to eat canned food, but then she started vomiting almost every day. She lost so much weight. Finally today it had to be done. :(

Teen Wolf and Zoey.
Oct. 20th, 2012 10:31 pmI want to thank my flist for your comments on my last post about my cat Zoey (hugs). She's doing a lot better. She started eating on her own a couple of days ago and she seems to be feeling a lot better in general.
I found myself watching MTV’s Teen Wolf for the last week and a half binging on episodes from the first two seasons. I happened upon a fan video on youtube one day and was curious. Suddenly I found myself unable to stop watching.

My Cat Zoey
Oct. 12th, 2012 04:17 pmAbout a year ago my cat Zoey stopped eating and we had to feed canned food to her with a syringe. She hasn't been eating for the last couple of days again so my mom took her to the vet and came back with some canned food that again we are feeding to her using a syringe. The vet said she is a little diabetic but that if we can get her back to eating and balance her out a again it may go away. So fingers crossed.

Zoey and other things
Apr. 29th, 2011 10:31 pmI'm a little annoyed Sanctuary was moved to Monday nights, I liked it on Friday. So Urban Legends is on Friday instead. The idea of UL is good but its execution not so much. They recreate three stories and at least one is true. Included is an interview with someone supposedly connected with the story. The fake story has an actor interviewed. It's so obvious who the actor is on this show. Plus the format is in general rather dull.
In other news Zoey's doing real well. She's starting to eat on her own again. She's still getting some of the canned food but we've cut way back so she's not being force fed several times a day anymore. Her last blood tests were really good too.
And it was Toby's (cat in my icon) birthday yesterday. He turned five. He's the baby of the house. Zoey's nine and Abby is eight.

We've been hand feeding Zoey for the last two or three weeks. My mom gave me some new cat food yesterday and Zoey finally ate some on her own today.
She's definitely feeling better because when she's feeling good she wraps her front legs around a doorway and paws at it.
Finally things seem to be looking up. :-)

Another Zoey update
Apr. 11th, 2011 04:44 pmMy mom took Zoey to the vet again today and they did more blood tests. She's worse than before. She was improving though. Now we have to feed her two cans of food a day for the next two days. If this doesn't work I'm afraid I'm going to have to have her put to sleep. A feeding tube would be the only other option and I'm afraid I can't afford it. :(

Apr. 10th, 2011 11:13 pmFor the last week or so we've been feeding my cat can food through a syringe. (previous post) She's getting slowly better I think. But she hasn't showed any interest eating on her own. I'm going to try something tomorrow morning and see if she'll eat on her own.
