A Strange Dreaming Experience
Dec. 29th, 2016 10:47 pmThis doesn't happen very often, but had a dream this morning before waking up where I was crying and then woke up actually crying. It's such a strange experience. It's like I'm sobbing when I wake up, but after a little while I can get control of myself and just turn it off. It's like I haven't even been crying. There's none of that gasping hard to catch by breath when I stop. It's also so disconcerting because I feel like I'm sobbing for no reason.
I almost never remember my dreams, but I did remember some of this one. I was back at my High school (haven't been there for twenty years) right next to the lunch room and I was being kept from going to lunch by something or someone I couldn't identify. And then I started crying and sobbing even. Next thing I know I am awake crying. All very disorienting as well.

Pitch season 1 episode 10
Dec. 8th, 2016 11:47 pmIt's over. The first season of Pitch is over. :'( Now I have to wait to find out if we get a second season. Might not find out until May.
It was such a good episode. I'm probably going to do a rewatch of the season soon, which is something considering it's a broadcast network show. Most of the shows I rewatch are cable.

My New Favorite Show
Nov. 11th, 2016 01:51 amThe new FOX show Pitch is my new favorite show. I'm not going to go into in depth right because it is late and I need to get to bed. But it's a fictional story of the first woman in Major League Baseball. I just love it so much and I'm afraid for its future. I've heard the ratings aren't so great. I swear I don't think they've promoted it enough.

Jun. 2nd, 2016 12:23 pmThere are many groups that get mentioned when talking under-representation or poor representation in films and television. Race, gender and the lgbtq. But there is one that never gets a mention in the mainstream; the disabled.
I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't profess to have a fully informed opinion beyond the reviews I have read online, but Me Before You does not look like the best representation of the disabled.
Maybe I'll go further into detail later on this movie on the issues I have with it, but I can't get my thoughts together and I think I should see the movie first.

Fandom Gone to Hell

May. 16th, 2016 10:58 pmSo after binge watching the last season of The Musketeers over the weekend I'm actually considering signing up on Tumblr. Yes, I know I said I hated Tumblr because of how it works. But it seems to be the only place I can get anything to do with my new favorite ship. So far there is just one positive fic involving the pairing I have seen and the rest are bashing or killing off the woman in the pair. Gahh, and it seemed like such a reasonable fandom too.
