North and South

On to something more cheerful. I finished watching North and South last night. I really wished it hadn't ended. I loved the characters. And nearly four hours to get these two together and all we get is five minutes of them together at the end. Thank God there was more to the story than just Margaret and Thornton. The waiting for them to get it together would have driven me insane. I'm just not satisfied with seeing a pair getting together at the very end. I want to see more of them as a couple.

Still I loved the characters and I didn't want to see them go. I might get the book one of these days.

Heeee =D absolutely nothing makes me squee and flail like North and South and Margaret and Thornton. Guh. It makes me insanely happy =D

The last 5 minutes though are like the best ever. When I first watched it and it got to the bit at the train station I was actually doing a happy squee clap because I was so flaily. I think the 4 hours build up just made it so brilliant.

Guh. So many good moments. I loved the 'Look back at me' bit as well and when he proposed to her.

But yeah, it has such a great story as well to give the romance some context. I think that's what makes it as good as it is. I love practically every character, especially Nicholas and Bessy. The cast is one of the best.

Best.Costume.Drama.Ever.

Sorry, little bit carried away there. That is how much I love it.

LoL, that's okay. Yes Nicholas and Bessy were some of my favorites as well. I had a feeling I was going to like him the first time he appeared.

Also I hadn't realized how much I liked Margaret's father until he died. That was quite the shocking moment. When Mr. Bell was it showed up and she saw him through the window whoa.

Oh I love this show so much. SQUEE! I do know what you mean, though. It is hard to have everything end after they become a couple. You always want to see more.
