TV and yarn or a TV yarn

*grumbles* Four stitches left on my dishcloth and I run out of yarn. I probably have some more of the same yarn but I prefer to make dishcloths with a single contnuous piece of yarn.

On another note I've been meaning to comment on the last two episodes of White Collar. So the last time I commented on it my interest was waning. But after the last two episodes whoa. The last scene of the last episode was stunning. I can't wait for January now. What is Peter up to? He's been in contact with Kate all this time? And things were really starting to improve between him and Neal. A real trust was starting to develop.

An enjoyable episode and it gave us more of Kate. I liked what we saw and learned about her. Some bad scene continuity and questionable first aid but I'm willing to forgive it. I was amused by MS' line "I like the hair." but I thought he delivered it oddly. It sounded like he was countering an argument from someone who didn't like Helen's hair.

But anyway I enjoyed the interaction between Kate and Jimmy.

I had to rewind it back to the scene at the end with Helen and Will when Helen said "no suit" to Will. I thought she was telling him not to wear anything when swimming with Sally but I hadn't caught her exact words the first time around. Got a chuckle out of that scene.

And the last scene between Helen and Kate was a nice one too. I liked that it showed that Helen knew about Kate's past and how Jimmy played a part in it. I'm not always a fan of shows that have a guest star so one of the main characters can tell the guest character all about themselves while we never see the other main characters knowing about that main character's past. Granted Helen would probably know since she does run background checks but it's nice to see it acknowledged. I like seeing main characters learn things about each other getting to know each other and their relationships growing.

I kinda thought Michael's and Amanda's first scene was more a private joke between the real person rather than the characters. lol

Oh yeah, she totally told him to get in the buff. lol

Most scenes with Kate telling Jimmy about her past felt a bit odd imo I don't know why exactly but there was something strange about it...

I've been hearing that line of Michael's all week in the previews and I guess I was expecting something said before it to lead to it but yeah it was definitely a joke about the fact that for ten years of working together she's had blond hair. Some may not like those sort of jokes referencing previous work together but it always amuses me when shows do that.

I'm just waiting for fic to come out about that. :D

I love that, too! And I really don't see the problem with it, if you don't know the former work you don'r realize and if you do why not apprciate the sentiment?! Oh well, some people.

lol...I've never read Sanctuary fanfiction actually...mostly because I feel so outnumbered by my flist who like either Helen/John or Helen/Tesla. lol

I'm not terribly into Helen/John or Helen/Tesla either.

I don't read a whole lot of Sanctuary fanfic myself. I mostly read Helen/Will fic whether it's ship or gen. Although I'm careful about what author's fic I read. I haven't quite figured out who the really good ones are just yet. But I've liked [livejournal.com profile] talkofcake's fic who does a lot of Helen/Will gen and ship fic and I just read a fic by [livejournal.com profile] oparu that was a Helen/Will ship fic I really liked.

I also read a couple of really wonderful fic about Henry and his relationship with Magnus. One was from when he was a child and the other was a sequel set around the ep Eulogy from this season. Genfic that have a very parent child angle to their relationship.

I grew quite fond of Helen/Will over the time. Definitely gonna go check some of these out. Thanks ^.^
