A Better Alternative to Me Before You

If you don't mind subtitles (unless you speak French in case you won't need to) the French movie Intouchables is really positive representation of a person who is quadriplegic.

Oh yes, Intouchables was such a great movie! A huge success in France whatever year it came out.

Can't say the trailers of Me Before You made me want to see it...

Yeah, Me Before You is not a movie I would recommend. A friend and I went to see it just because we wanted to form our own opinions on it. She and I share the same birth defect and are both paraplegics so representation for the disabled is important to us.

The Intouchables was a refreshing thing to see. I would like to see a movie about a romance involving a paraplegic or quadriplegic with a positive message.

I need to write a post on these two movies. I just wanted to mention The Intouchables last night after seeing it, but it was late and didn't have the energy to get into the details.

I haven't seen Me Before You, but I loved Intouchables. It was a beautiful movie, it was funny, and it made me think, too. And maybe the fact that it's based on a true story made it even better.

Yes, I really enjoyed The Intouchables as well. Being based on a true story helped a lot. The author of Me Before You never even spoke to any quadriplegics from what I have read.
