Beaded Necklace

Here's the picture I promised sapphs. It's my first beaded necklace I've been making for the last couple of days. It's not the greatest picture unfortunately. I can't seem to get to look clearer.

Thank you. :) The beads actually look a little bigger in the picture. Some of them are really quite small.

Thanks. :) I just have to figure out how to get the clasp on and keep it on. I used as thread this stretchy plastic stuff. It doesn't stay tied in a knot very well.

My mom told me my grandfather did bead work and would put a match to the knot to melt the thread.

I tried to make a ring today with a finer type of plastic thread, but the knot didn't stay and the beads slipped off. I managed to save the beads so I'll have to do it again tomorrow or something.
