Princess Bride

I just started reading The Princess Bride. I've of course seen the movie a few times. The book isn't what I expected. I am realizing William Goldman is a very clever author. He had me believing he was really writing about himself in the beginning of the book and this was really an abridged version of someone elses work. I knew something felt a bit off. The wife was too bizzare for words. The country his father was from. Hmm.

A friend gave me another book for my birthday and I read a few pages of it. Now I'm hooked on it. So now I have three books in progress. Although I haven't read anymore of the third one for a while now. I need to get The Princess Bride read because it is a library book.

He is REALLY good at making his stories seem true. I think that's half the fun! :D At the bookstore I work at, we get people coming in and seriously asking for the original Morgenstern. :P

I can believe it. I was telling my mom about what I had read so far this morning and as the day has gone by there were certain things that had me questioning the truth. So I looked S. Morgenstern up on the internet and realized it's a pseudonym for William Goldman.

It's the first book I've really gotten into for a long time.
