So, it's that time of month. ;) I've been in a snippy mood most of the evening. I keep biting my tongue and holding my hands away from the keyboard while on GW. It's a bad idea for me to be posting when I'm in this kind of mood.

The Rodney McKay discussion and appreciation thread is annoying me at the moment. I'd participate on that thread, but all I can think of are snarky comments to say there. Although even if it wasn't that time of month I'd still feel compelled to make snarky comments on that thread. :D

And joy was the subject of the sermon at church today. Guess that message didn't get through real well today. :0

Fights are fun. I've been having fun arguing with people all weekend. The only thing that sucks is I keep winning, and they won't argue with me anymore, and I'm left with nothing to do. :P Damn my brilliance!!

I'm terrible at it. There's one person on that thread who is always bitching about how mean everyone is to poor Rodney. I've had polite debates on this subject with her (particularly on the subject of how John treats Rodney). From my point of view she doesn't understand how men relate to each other. Maybe it's a cultural thing. She's not American. *shrugs*

Of course she also thinks it's perfectly acceptable for Rodney to behave badly towards others, but others can't do the same to him.

Argg, I'm ranting over a thread discussing a fictional character. I've come to hate the individual character discussion threads. The fangirls give me a headache.

I hate how a character discussion thread turns into one for complaining about other characters or worse other fans. For awhile the Sheppard thread turned into the"let's bitch about how Rodney gets all the character development. While the Mckay thread turned into "let's bitch about all the fans who bitch about Rodney" thread.

Ok, I think it's time for me to go to bed now. :D

Velvet Goldmine sounds like the name of a band, but I've never heard of the movie. Although I think I saw the name yesterday on LJ. Maybe it was your post. :D

I can't stand the character and fan bashing. That's why I've stopped going into a lot of threads. I saw it enough in the Sparky thread that it really disgusted me, and I really don't care to post much there anymore.

But really, there were times when I would have bashed a character I liked if only to bug the fangirls.

LOL, I know the feeling.

There's one on that thread that (actually they all do, but she more so than the others)is always complaining about how horribly Rodney is treated. Her dislike for a certain other character may color my opinion of her just a little though. :p
