Kirking and other topics

I've been reading the comments and complaints about "Kirking". It reminds me of the complaints about Teyla's clothes.

In conclusion, I think these are simply topics to complain over when I think the real issue is lack of character development. If these characters had some character development Sheppard could still flirt and it wouldn't be a problem. And Teyla's purple top and other similar tops would be ignored.

For me if I don't like character I don't bother criticizing them. They're not worth my time or effort. I criticize a character I like if I don't care for the direction they're going in.

Granted I don't call them names like Sheppard's been called.

I thought the writing for Sheppard was a little weaker in s2, but then he wasn't the only one suffering that imo. I can see the potential of him being turned into a one dimensional hero who flirts with women and quips one liners. He's certainly not there yet as far as I'm concerned, but from some things I've read it seems like tptb aren't willing to take him very far beyond the typical hero type. I hope that doesn't happen though.

The ad nauseum complaining about the "Kirking" and even Teyla's clothes are getting rather boring. And the name calling is nasty.
