Oh the wank has returned in my life

I guess it was inevitable, but to be honest it amuses me this time around.

Introduce a female character as a regular character and love interest for one of the lead male characters and the fandom go boom.

It's like a train wreck and I can't stop looking.

In this case she's not a lead character, it's a buddy cop show with two lead males. But I do know what you mean. I hope and do think she will be used for more than a love interest.

The biggest irritation for me is how the media tends to focus on the romantic relationships in shows when there is so much more going on than that on the show.

I do understand the media thing and it irritates me too. I remember the big fuss over the Mulder/Scully thing. *sigh* I do agree, that is when shows start to go downhill.

*laughs* I love when fandoms explode that aren't mine. It amuses me no end now. I thank SGA for being able to laugh at the wank :P

Yeah, SGA has taught me not to take my fandoms too seriously. The good thing here is the issue that has caused the wank is one I'm indifferent to so I don't really care too much how it goes.
