Would it kill movie and TV makers to have one girl be a fan of Star Wars?

But no, any knowledge she has of Star Wars is because she has a brother. Oh and of course instead she prefers My Little Pony. Seriously? How the hell does that even compare? And just...My Little Pony? WTF?

It's a movie I watched this weekend 'My Girlfriend's Boyfriend'. The woman in the movie went to the guy's apartment where she saw his Darth Vader action figure and she knew the details about it and said she only knew because of her brother.
