Chuck and place holders for commercials

The thing I like about the Stargate DVDs is how they set up the episodes so that the scene leading into a commercial and the scene coming back from the commercial can be edited together seamlessly. Other shows I've watched on DVD usually have a moment where the screen goes black for a second where the commercial originally was. I find that rather jarring.

Anyway, I finished the first season of Chuck last night. My first comment came from watching the last episode last night where I kept expecting a commercial break when the screen went black for a second a few times. And then the point of picking up from where it left would be very jarring as well.

I cannot believe this. Recently I commented that I got two DVDs from Blockbuster in the mail that had to be returned for various reasons. Well, I got the replacements and one was fine. But the other one came with the same problem. It was suppose to be a disk for Star Trek Deep Space Nine, but it's a Star Trek Voyager disc instead. The last time it was the exact same thing. I was expecting a DS9 disc when I got a Voyager disc instead.

I examined the other disc. It looks fine so hopefully it will play. Arggg. I am so pissed right now.

Well, this sucks. I got three DVD's from Blockbuster in the mail today that I'm renting and two of them are messed up. One of them was suppose to be a Star Trek Deep Space Nine disc. It was in the appropriately labeled envelope, but the DVD was a Star Trek Voyager disc.

The second one I put in the player and the screen came up saying it couldn't play the DVD. I took it out of the player and looked at it. It had a crack on it.

SGA s2 commentaries

I was listening to the s2 commentaries for SGA and Peter DeLuise and Gary Jones have got to stop doing commentaries together. I don't even know why Gary Jones is doing these commentaries when he's on SG-1. I was listening to the Intruder commentary and the best thing DeLuise said was that someone wrote him telling him to stop the potty humor. DeLuise said he couldn't seem to do that though. There was just something in his mental make up that wouldn't allow him to stop. I think it's called Gary Jones. Because he do commentary without that humor when doing commentary with others, but put him with Gary Jones and blech, potty humor.

My favorite commentaries are with Martin Wood, Martin Gero and David Hewlet with Joe Flanigan sometimes added in.

EEEk

I'm such dork. I put my mail down and didn't look at it until later this evening. Turns out my season 2 DVDs of SGA had arrived. *headdesk* It was in an odd package and was rather small so I didn't think that was it.

I really should go to bed soon, but I've been listening to the commentaries for random episodes. I'm too hyper now that I know I have them to go to bed anyway.
