Snakes on a Plane

I've been seeing these vague comments referring to Snakes on a Plane. I wish I could remember those references now because the comments went totally over my head.
Cut for space.
All I could think was that Snakes on a Plane was a title of one of those mutant monster movies the Scifi channel loves to show. Then I was watching TV yesterday and saw a preview for the movie Snakes on a Plane. Apparently it's a Samuel L. Jackson movie. Hmm, not sure what to think of that.
And speaking of those mutant monster movies the Scifi channel loves to show I happened upon one yesterday. I can't recall the title, but it was a "scary" horror movie. At least that's what it said when I hit info on my digital cable controler. Snorts. It starred C. Thomas Howell. Boy has that man's career gone down hill.
It was about mutant ants taking over a big building. I saw a big ant attacking a guy from behind. I was lmao.
In other news we may get our new kitty this week. He's been staying at a friends house. I'm not sure what's been decided about the other two kitties. I'm just glad I'm not too attached to them at this point.
And last I'm never going back to the ep. discussion thread at Gateworld again. Although one person said she wasn't going to watch Atlantis next week. At least that's one less person complaining about Weir.
I enjoyed Progeny this week and spoilers to follow. I'll say it was rushed at the end, but then again when isn't it. It was a nice show of concern at the end from John when he asked Elizabeth if she was all right after nearly being strangled by Niam. I think his intense show of concern would be the same for anybody, but I don't mind. I liked when Rodney tried to stop Elizabeth from taking Niam's hand so Niam could show her about the Assurans.
People showing concern for other people isn't always about ship. Sometimes I'm tired of picking apart every moment between every character and thinking "well they're doing ship for these two this week". Or "that just wasn't shippy enough, are they trying to get rid of it now?".
I really wasn't bothered about this being a "ripoff" of Unnatural Selection. So far I've enjoyed all the "ripoffs" from sg-1. I liked Intruder better than sg-1's Entity as well. Someone commented once about Intruder that it was also ripping off Tangent. That took me a while to figure out. Apparently because John was stuck in a 302 for a few minutes it was a ripoff of Tangent because in that ep. Jack and Teal'c were trapped in a 302 for the entire ep.
Oh and in the Atlantis TRW preview, Elizabeth opens a closet and she finds an event horizon like Daniel did when he opened a closet in a s4 ep of SG-1 whose title I can't recall. It seriously never would have occurred to me. Heck, I probably wouldn't have even thought of Unnatural Selection if someone hadn't brought it up before I watched Progeny.
