Jumping in here to say that I've never really got the whole idea of vampire fic either...Vampire anything has never really appealed to me actually, BUT the other day I read a Jack/Ianto fic where Ianto is a vampire, because one of my fave fanfic writers wrote it and OMG it was soooo good. Still can't see the appeal of vampire fic for most fandoms, but it definitely worked in this case and it was damn hot as well ;)
