Summary: Daniel has been dating Cameron for awhile, but he doesn’t realize it

“Hey, Jackson, want to play a little one on one?”
Daniel looked up from what he was trying to translate, but having no luck. Mitchell stood in the doorway of Daniel’s office where shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt. In his hands he held a basketball.
“Yeah, I need to get away from this for awhile,” he rubbed his eyes and put his glasses back on before following Mitchell out the door.

Daniel was behind Mitchell trying to get the ball back. They were both dripping in sweat. He had started to think about what Sam had said a couple days earlier. It was ridiculous, Daniel would know if he was dating someone.
He couldn’t deny Mitchell was attractive, very attractive. But Daniel was not about to get interested in a teammate, especially not one who was in the Air Force. Besides he was pretty sure Mitchell was only interested in women. And then Cameron brushed up against Daniel’s front.
“He shoots, he scores. The crowd goes wild.”
Daniel was pulled out of his thoughts by Mitchell’s words. He went over to the wall while Mitchell was distracted and grabbed a towel letting it hang in front of him. This was embarrassing, he felt like a teenager. “I’m gonna go get a shower,” he said pointing to the door that led to the showers.
“Okay,” Cam nodded. “I’ve got to hand in a report before I take mine.”
Daniel nodded and turned to go.
“Hey, Daniel, want to get something eat for dinner?”
Daniel turned back. “Sounds good.” By the time Daniel made it into the showers his hard on had managed to die down.

The next day as soon as Daniel had changed into his BDU’s he went directly to Sam’s office. She was still working on the device they had been working on together a few days earlier when he found her.
“I’m dating Cameron Mitchell.”
Sam looked up at him and smiled. “Good for you.”
“No, I don’t think you understand, I’ve been dating Cameron Mitchell for at least the last month and I didn’t even realize it.” He had a sullen look on his face.
He heard a snicker. Daniel looked up and saw Sam was doing her best to hold back laughter. “This isn’t funny.”
“Yes, it is,” she said.
“It’s not.”
“It is.”
“Not.”
“Is.”
“You’ve been spending too much time with Jack, he’s corrupted you,” Daniel accused.
“Okay, it’s not funny,” she said. “But it is sweet,” she grinned.
“Sweet?”
“It’s like he’s courting you,” she said.
Daniel leaned on the table and buried his face in his arms. He felt Sam pat him on the head.
