It was late when Daniel returned home later the same day. He entered the house to darkness and went upstairs. He came to Tracy’s room first and opened the door sticking his head in. He smiled when he saw her asleep clutching her stuffed cat.
He closed the door and continued down the hall. Both Joe’s bedroom and the guest bedroom doors were shut. He hoped that was a sign that Joe and Sharon hadn’t left.
Finally he came to his and Cam’s room. He walked in and went straight to the bathroom getting ready for bed. Coming back out he looked down on the bed to see his lover sprawled out over their bed. One arm was stretched out across Daniel’s side of the bed and a leg was bent up towards the same side of the bed as the arm.
Daniel took off his glasses and pulled the blankets up careful not to wake Cam and nudged his lover’s limbs over. Cam snuffled into the pillow and pulled his limbs in.
Once Daniel was settled an arm shot out and wrapped around Daniel’s arm and a leg wrapped around his leg.
“I thought you were asleep,” Daniel turned over onto his back and looked at Cam who had his eyes opened a crack.
“I’m a soldier; I have finely honed senses. I can wake up at the slightest movement.”
“And you sleep with one eye opened,” Daniel turned over facing Cam.
“Yep,” Cam smirked pressing a kiss to Daniel’s lips.
“So did Joe and Sharon stay?” Daniel asked.
“Yeah,” Cam said. “I think we made a truce. We spent the afternoon keeping Tracy cheered up.”
“How’d you do that?” Daniel asked.
“We made cupcakes.”
“Are there any left?” Daniel asked.
“A few and one with your name on it,” Cam said.
“My name’s on it? I’m touched. Can I have it now?” Daniel made to get up.
“Nope,” Cam grabbed Daniel’s arm. “Tracy’s giving it to you tomorrow morning. Actually it has a big blue D on top of it. Tracy did that.”
Daniel grinned and settled back down in bed.

Daniel opened his eyes and looked over toward the other side of the bed. Cam wasn’t there but there was a note on his pillow. ‘Breakfast will be waiting when you wake up. Cam’.
Once he was dressed Daniel came downstairs and into the kitchen. Everyone was awake sitting at the kitchen table or standing at he counter.
“Daniel!” Tracy yelled.
“Sshh,” Cam said to the little girl coming up behind her where she sat at the table. “Indoor voice, young lady.”
“Sorry,” she replied in a whisper.
Daniel came over picked Tracy up planting a kiss on her cheek. “How are you feeling sweetie?”
“Still itches,” she said rubbing her cheek against his unshaven one. “I got something for you,” she squirmed out of his hold and he put her down on the floor.
Daniel watched her for a second before sitting down at the table. “Good morning,” he said to the others. “Got any plans today?”
“I’m taking Sharon to uncle Jack and aunt Sam’s house for lunch so they can meet her,” Joe said.
“Can I come?” Tracy asked returning to the table with a tupper wear container.
“I’m afraid not today kiddo,” Cam pulled Tracy into his lap.
“Why not?” Tracy asked.
“You’re still sick remember?” Cam said. “You don’t want Chrissie and Emily to get sick too do you?”
“No,” Tracy pouted.
“Come on,” Cam kissed her on her cheek. “Let’s show Daniel what you made for him.”
Tracy brightened remembering the plastic container in her hands. Cam put it on the table and helped her open it.
“We made cupcakes yesterday,” Tracy explained. “This one’s for you,” she picked up the cupcake with the big blue D and put it on the table with more care than they usually saw from her.
“Thank you Tracy,” Daniel leaned over and pressed a kiss to her cheek. “I think I’ll save it for later. Okay?”
“Everyone ready for breakfast?” Cam asked standing Tracy up and then getting up off the chair to go to the stove.
“You don’t think I’m going to get the third degree from Uncle Jack and Aunt Sam, do you?” Joe asked as they ate their breakfast.
Daniel and Cameron looked at each other and laughed.
“Great,” Joe slumped back in his chair. “I was lucky to get out of Sharon’s parents’ house alive. I have you two and Jack and Sam to deal with.”
Daniel’s head shot up and he looked at Joe.
“What was that about Sharon’s parents?” Cam asked.
“Mr. Mitchell, I promise my dad never would have really hurt Joe,” Sharon cut in.
“It’s all right Sharon,” Daniel assured her with a smile.
“Um-,” Joe mumbled something.
“What was that, Joe?” Daniel asked grinning like a predator eyeing his prey.
“Joe, what did you tell them about my parents?” Sharon asked.
“Come on, squirt,” Cam stood up and grabbed Tracy.
“But I’m not finished,” she protested.
“Yep, you are,” Cam told her carrying her out of the kitchen. “Be right back, kids.”
“Joe,” Sharon nudged Joe’s arm.
“I told them your parents were supportive of us getting married,” Joe told her.
“Yes, in about five years,” she said.
“Daniel and Cameron were never going to go for it if they thought your parents wouldn’t either,” Joe said.
“Men!” She got up about to leave the room and stopped. “No offense Dr. Jackson.”
“None taken,” Daniel smiled. The smile grew even more once she was out of the room.
“So, what did I miss?” Cam asked coming back into the kitchen.
Joe groaned and dropped his face into his arms. Cam stood next to him looking between the two men confused.
“Don’t forget you have to introduce Sharon to Teal’c and Vala,” Daniel reminded Joe as he came around the table patting the young man on the shoulder and giving Cam a quick kiss.
Joe let out another groan as Daniel led Cam out of the kitchen.
