Toby the Cat

It's the continuing mis-adventures of Toby the Cat. My furnace and water heater are situated against a wall. The water heater is kind of in a corner. Toby decided to get up on the water heater again and ended up stuck behind it and the furnace.

I heard a cry from him and when I found him there I called my Mom. She was at a friend's house. I called both her and her friend's cell phones as well as her friend's landline. When all I could get were voicemail I got online to find they were online. So I started to send an IM when she finally called me.

Let me just say that was a hard job getting that cat out from behind the furnace and water heater. Finally my mom was able to get him out. When she was able to get him within reach she just grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and pulled him up. I've often felt the compulsion to grab him by the scruff of the neck when he's being bad. Hopefully he won't be on that water heater anytime soon. My mom plans to put something up like chicken wire to keep him from jumping up there again.

He's been resting on the couch for the last couple of hours now.
