(no subject)

I was watching this show about the history of children's toys and a lot of them were "boys" toys. And the went as if these toys were just for boys as if girls would never want to play with them.

Let me tell you, I had at least half of these toys when I was a kid.

I had matchbox cars, I had (not the 12 inch) GI Joe action figures, and a load of Star Wars action figures. Not to mention The Millenium Falcon!

*needs angry smiley face*

One interesting point was that the person who created matchbox cars made the first for his little sister who needed something for show and tell. She couldn't bring anything larger than a match box hence the matchbox cars. All started for a girl but still a boy's toy. *rolls eyes*
