No, the Real World part of the title does not refer to the S3 Atlantis ep. :p
I was listening to my radio this morning. The morning show on the station I listened to was asking for medical interns to call in and tell them if Grey's Anatomy was at all like their own experience. They're going to invite an intern on the radio this coming Monday I believe so if I'm listening I'll get their response.
No, the DJs aren't crazy enough to think that the show seriously resembles real life. It's just a little fun to see if there might be some little tidbit of similarity.
I watched Oprah yesterday. She had the Dixie Chicks on. I'm not a fan of theirs personally. Not because of what the one member of the group said a few years or whenever it was she said it. But because I'm not a fun of country music.
One of the things they were talking about was a documentary about them called "Shut up and Sing" and the reaction from fans. Some of those former fans were interviewed briefly. One older gentleman said (paraprasing) "free speech is fine as long as you don't say it in public." One woman who was holding her young son kept saying "Screw'em" and encouraging her son to say the same. I was just completely gobsmacked by the whole thing.
I started to come down with a cold a couple of days ago. I had a sore throat that's getting better and felt really achy. I'm feeling better today. I'm hoping to work on the next part of my Moments fic. today.
