The series finale of The Tudors aired tonight. A rather compelling and emotional episode. Henry is coming near the end of his life and his previous wives haunt him. An old and sickly man whose relationships with his children were tragic. They portrayed Elizabeth as not having much feeling for her father in the end while Mary still did.
His best friend Charles dies. Probably the one consistant presence in Henry's life although I think their relationship suffered due to the direction Henry had turned in life as the King and the decisions he had made in his reign.
During the episode Henry had commissioned an artist to paint his portrait. In the end it was revealed and it was the famous Henry VIII painting we all know. Although actually in the show it was a painting that was in Jonathan Rhys Meyer's likeness. That was a bit strange to look at.
The painting was presented to Henry in the last scene and it ended not with Henry's death, but of beaten down old man. It then had then told in writing when Henry had died and the fate of his children.
Watched In Plain Sight tonight. I taped last week's episode but never got around to watching it and taped over it. I had plenty of chances but I was just not motivated to watch. I am feeling very dissappointed by this season and there is just one episode left in the season.
I want more of Jinx and less of Brandi. And I really want more of Mary and Marshall interaction.
