My sister is coming into town today to visit for a few days. The last time she was here I was in the hospital. I've started season 5 of Babylon 5 and my favorite eps. of that season so far are "The Very Long Night of Londo Mollary" and "A View From the Gallery". TVLNOLM is a great ep. Londo and G'Kar are my two favorite characters on that show. It was an interesting view into Londo's mind. And it was something to see how he came to realize how important a simple word as "Sorry" meant. As well how meaningful it would have been if he had only said "No" at some point as he took that dark path taking his world with him. He probably wouldn't have stopped what was happening, but at least he would have known he had done everything in his power to stop it and that he stood up for what was right. In the ep. Londo is having a dream after suffering a heartattach. It's a journey for him in his mind. When he wakes up, he sees G'Kar and simply says he's sorry. G'Kar simply smiles in return. It was such a powerful moment between them. AVFTG is an interesting perspective from those rarely ever seen. Life seen from the perspective of two blue collar workers on the station. They had some interesting and amusing viewpoints. I think my favorite was when they were watching Londo and G'Kar bickering. One asks the other : "How long have those two been married?" And it was interesting to see how they saw Sheridan and Delenn's relationship. It was so obvious to them that the couple were really in love. I'd love to see an ep. like AVFTG on SG Atlantis. Who would be seen as the "old married couple" like Londo and G'kar? If they were going with Sheppard/Weir ship, what would be said about them? And who would be the people to make these observations? It would make a great fic, but I would need to answer these questions.
