I think Peter DeLuise's commentaries have progressively gone down hill over the years starting with SG-1. I have s4 of sg-1 and he was my favorite of the ones doing commentaries, but somewhere things just went down hill.
The other commentaries unless it's Gero, Wood, Hewlet and Flanigan are rather dull. Too technical for my taste. TLG wasn't bad. Torri was the only thing helping that commentary. The other two participating dragged it down a bit. Same with Critical Mass. Rachel helped it, but the ones she was doing the commentary with made it dull.
There's one other with Deluise and Jones I haven't listened to and am not real interested either. And a couple I haven't listened to because they're DOP's and producers I think. I prefer it when there's at least one actor and the writer of the ep. with the director. Special fx person can be interesting, but I don't want too many episode commentaries with them.
I think David Hewlett having made A Dog's Breakfast has made him very interesting in commentaries. Joe Flanigan has various interests in the process of making shows from the writing to directing as well and is very interesting. They both have humor, but it's good humor. They're good at giving good and funny anecdotes from the making of the episodes.
