I finally have the computer back on after several hours having it off. Around two this afternoon the weather started to get bad. We had a tornado warning and then a severe thunderstorm. Same thing happened yesterday minus the tornado warning in my area at least. Other parts of Iowa weren't as lucky though I don't if any serious damage was caused.
I finished watching the series finale of Stargate SG-1 (boy is that strange to say) and the season finale of SGA.
SG-1 as I've said before has never made me cry although it's made me a bit sad at times. I think this episode had me the closest to tears as I've ever been with it. The thought of the Asgard dying really got me. I was nearly gone when Thor was talking to Sam. Then it seemed to turn strange and the Asgard were almost forgotten. If not for their giving all of their technology to Earth they would have been completely forgotten in this episode. A bit of a let down when talking about the end of the Asgard.
I liked the last scene. It's just the way I would have expected the series to end. SG-1 walking together through the gate continuing their missions. Although if I had my druthers it would have happened sooner and with the old version of the team that I fell in love with, but I haven't seen that in years even when the people themselves were there. Oh well, it's still kind of sad that it has come to an end even if it's not the show it used to be for me.
The preview at the end of the SGA episode for s4 had me excited for the next season. Which is great because a preview earlier in the evening kind of annoyed me even though I understand why they did what they did. S4 preview spoilers behind cut. The earlier preview was all about Sam so that kind of annoyed me. Then there was the one after the season finale. We had Lorne pointing a 9mm. *Yum*. We had John pointing a gun and yelling for Elizabeth. *Squee.* We had Elizabeth. Yay. And it's coming in September. *Bounces around bedroom*.
