Highlander

I was watching the Sci-fi channel last week and saw an advertizement for the latest Highlander movie. Highlander: The Sourc. The Scifi channel was airing it this past weekend. I watched it today. It was as I suspected, pretty bad.
It had its moments, but honestly I think they should have stopped at the first movie. I enjoyed the TV series too (except for season 6).
I've often come across a comment (mainly regarding SGA of late) that anytime the male hero is flirting with a woman or there's a woman to have a thing with the hero it's to prove the hero's heterosexuality. I generally find that comment rather silly. But watching Highlander: The Source never have I agreed more. Duncan MacLeod has a wife now. A mortal woman I really couldn't have cared less about. They kill Joe Dawson and later when he's talking with the wife he's telling her all about the people that he has loved who have died. All the names he gave were women who had been past lovers.
Methos was in the movie as well. The last conversation he and Duncan have is rather unsatisfying considering all those two have been through together for the last several years. And then there was something about The One was the immortal who could have a baby.
ETA: S4 of SGA can't get here fast enough. The S/W thread is just so boring when it's all talk about things I haven't seen yet.
