I am so tired of socially inept, emotionally stunted geniuses in my television viewing.

I haven't really written much in LJ for a while.

First of all, Sleepy Hollow is back, Yay!

There are a few shows I have lost some interest in. And some shows I am waiting for their return.

Losing interest in Agents of SHIELD as well as Person of Interest.

I watched ABC's new show Forever this week, I like it. I like the characters. I'm not so confident in it lasting though. It could use a little work on its procedural and one relationship needs a little more attention. It's not brilliant, but I have enjoyed the last two episodes.

At the moment I have Gotham on my DVR, but I haven't watched it yet. I'm not sure it's something I'm really interested in or not.

The Graham Norton Show is the best talk show on television. I love how he has all his guests sitting on the couch together.

I have this show I discovered a few weeks ago that airs around one in the morning, Sunday mornings. Except my DVR keeps deciding it's on at different times when it is consistently on at one in the morning, give or take a few minutes.

I'm seriously considering recording it on my VCR setting the timer for an hour before the show is suppose to start and an hour after it's suppose to end.

Finally got my internet back this afternoon. I lost it last night. Turned out I just needed to unplug the router or modem briefly.

I found a new show Saturday night. Well, new to me anyway. I was flipping through the channels late that night and came across a Canadian show that started in 2010. It’s called Republic of Doyle about a father and son who have a private investigation business. It’s kind of a dramedy. It’s very character driven. It looks like it’s right up my alley.

I hate to record shows on sunday night on cbs. For some reason, instead of last night's new episode of the Mentalist, CBS aired a rerun of the show.

What is it with women particularly in sitcoms expecting the men in their lives to know exactly what they want without even telling them? Or expecting them to know they really want the opposite of what they explicitly say?

I was watching Hot in Cleveland tonight. spoilers for latest episode )

I dislike It when a show makes me feel like I’m supposed to agree with certain characters just because they’re the leads, as if what they do or say is always right. I don’t agree with that.

I was starting April 23rd episode of Body of Proof recently and I couldn’t stand the arrogance of the two lead characters. A pathologist and a police detective.

Spoilers just in case )

If a show wants their characters to be arrogant and entitled, fine, but someone needs to call them on the carpet occasionally and make it stick.

Shipping

Not every show that has a male and female lead needs to ship those two characters because they're male and female.

I love you Elementary, but please don't ship Holmes and Watson.

I've watched a couple of different things this week. I started watching the UK series Sherlock. Watched the first episode last night. I liked it. Sherlock was annoying at times and then he would be fascinating.

On Syfy a Canadian series Continuum premiered. Looks promising.

Lost Girl has returned. \0/

Suits is back on tonight and White Collar returns in five days. \0/

I sometimes find myself watching a rerun I come across on TV even though I have it on DVD.

I haven't watched the last couple NCIS episodes, but I may watch tonight's. Alex Kingston will be on the episode.

And later, Leverage returns.

OMG, these season finales are killing me this year. And I still have Once Upon a Time to watch.

You know that moment when a character is about to reveal some vital information just to get taken out as he opens his mouth? I hate when shows or movies do that.

And it is so obvious it's coming. The character begins by saying things that start with the words "if I tell you this..." At that point I'm drumming my fingers just waiting for the mystery shooter to take his shot, not sitting at the edge of my seat waiting with baited breath for the big reveal.

For the last few weeks I've been watching a new UK show called Bedlam. It's about this guy living in an apartment building that used to be a mental institution. The guy can see ghosts of the previous residents of the hospital as well as other ghosts.

A few weeks of that show and I'm more freaked out by the previews of Paranormal Activity 3 and I haven't even seen the movie.

[livejournal.com profile] world_of_blade, remember when I said I wasn't looking for another show? Well, I guess I lied. :D I forgot I was planning on checking out USA network's new show 'Suits'.

A guy who had been kicked out of law school and was moving towards an unlawful life is hired as an associate by an attorney at a law firm even though he doesn't have a law degree. It's another "bromance" (cringes slightly at the word) in the making.

Looks like Chuck is getting renewed. YAY! I've read there may only be thirteen episodes but I'm all right with that. I really just want to see this series wrapped up properly instead of being canceled and left hanging.

And Fox has canceled another show, Human Target. I think my mom and a friend of hers is going to be more upset about this cancellation. I like the show well enough and it had potential but it just lacks something for me.

I'm a little annoyed Sanctuary was moved to Monday nights, I liked it on Friday. So Urban Legends is on Friday instead. The idea of UL is good but its execution not so much. They recreate three stories and at least one is true. Included is an interview with someone supposedly connected with the story. The fake story has an actor interviewed. It's so obvious who the actor is on this show. Plus the format is in general rather dull.

In other news Zoey's doing real well. She's starting to eat on her own again. She's still getting some of the canned food but we've cut way back so she's not being force fed several times a day anymore. Her last blood tests were really good too.

And it was Toby's (cat in my icon) birthday yesterday. He turned five. He's the baby of the house. Zoey's nine and Abby is eight.

We (meaning the United States) have taken another British TV show and made an American version. Actually we have three recently: Being human, Skins and Top Gear.
No spoilers under cut )

A little over six hours until a new episode of White Collar premiers. :D
