I hate it when someone happily points out a certain episode of Stargate Atlantis is like a classic episode of SG-1. I actually enjoyed the episode of SGA tonight as long as I didn't think of it being like sg-1. But then they've been trying to turn it into SG-1 v.2.0 since season 2 I think.

All that aside there were some good character interactions. I liked that Teyla got some training on how to use some of the Daeadalus systems. I thought it was just the right level of knowledge she would have. She can access certain information on the computer and understand the readouts, but how to fix any problems she finds are left to Rodney. And there were some nice moments between her and Rodney. I was amused that Rodney wanted to hold Torren, but everytime he went to do so, Torren was already asleep.

And at the end Rodney was finally able to hold Torren. He kinda reminded me of me whenever I've held babies. It lasts for only so long and then a slight panic sets in as I ask mom or dad to take the baby back. :D And Teyla tells Rodney she thinks he'd make a good father. I think she was just being nice. :D John thought that was the scariest thing he had ever heard. ;)

Ronon he kinda bugged me. He did his usual wandering off thing he has been known to do and got attacked by aliens. And they were really aliens. Probably never see them again. Probably for the best. TPTB would just turn them into stupid incompetent baddies.

And like Teyla, Ronon was offered some training for use of the Deadalus systems, but he had other things to do. I guess beating up Marines makes for a busy schedule. *rollseyes*

We got a lot of Lorne and Zelenka which makes me very happy. Although Woolsey was not in this episode and as usual they do a poor job of explaining where he's at. There was one time where Lorne said to Chuck I think-and Chuck Yay, ahem-to inform Woolsey of what is going on. So there was at least some effort, but not much more than what happened in the Carter-lite episodes of s4.

I think I'll wait until tomorrow to make a post about Doctor Who's season finale. That was a lot to take in.

All I could think of was: morons...release an episode days after releasing an awesome movie with a similar idea.
