I watched the first episode of The Mentalist last night. It didn't really impress me. The main character's wife and daughter were killed by a serial killer he was helping the police capture a few years earlier when he was pretending to be a psychic. He now works for the police, but does not pretend to be psychic. He's just really observant. I don't want to watch another show where the main character is full of angst over the death of a loved one(s) and the killer is still on the loose. The other characters didn't do much for me either. And the guy's whole "he's really just observant" comes across poorly is all I can say about it. It was just too obvious what he saw I thought.

Not a bad episode. And if they had to bring an SG-1 character to Atlantis I'd definitely pick Daniel. I liked his interaction with Rodney. Much better imo than Sam's interaction with Rodney.

I wish TPTB would keep quiet about some of their significant spoilers. Now I know who the aliens are. That's all I'm saying about that.

And yes there were other things from previous episodes they brought into this episode the one the had to remember from the previous episode was the whole "Love Triangle thing". They forget that Carson's dead in the episode right after Sunday, but they manage to remember this inane love triangle. *headdesk*

Yeah, I do think Psych is better. But I've never gotten into it. Where The Mentalist is just bad imo.

LOL. So it would seem. I'd be impressed that they managed to carry something over to the next episode if it wasn't the worst thing to carry over.
