Question About Castle

I have a question from last night's Castle episode. There was a thunderstorm last night so the local news cut in during the commercial break and went over into the scene that returned from the commercial break so I missed a minute or so of the scene. Castle's daughter is talking to him and telling him she did something bad. I missed what it was she said she did. Can someone fill me in?

She was studying late at school (or something) with a friend and when they left it was raining - no cabs in sight. So they decided to take the subway even though it was past 10 - at which point Castle cut in saying that it was okay for her to take the subway since cabs in New York when it's raining are pretty much an impossibility. But no - the story continues. They got to the turnstile as the train was approaching and her friend went through. Castle's daughter tried to follow, but her MetroCard was empty and there wasn't time to refill it and the friend was shouting - so she jumped the turnstile! (Yes, this was much longer than need be, but I enjoyed writing it.)

Castle was so clearly relieved and I have to say that this is such a dorky thing to be confessing to (okay, yes, illegal, but in an episode dealing with drugs and murder not exactly a front page story) but I have to say, the actress who plays his daughter was great in this scene because you could tell that it was REALLY eating her up and she was all teary eyed. Anyway, she insisted on punishment, but he was just glad it was something so minor that he refused. So she grounded herself for a week - after her DC trip of course. :D

Can you tell I'm liking this show? :D

LOL, thanks la. It returned at the point where she insists on punishment and does it herself. :D I really enjoy Castle's relationship with his daughter.

Unfortunately it's that time of the year where thunderstorms will start interrupting my TV viewing. One season it was the last thirty seconds of a CSI LV ep. that was interrupted because of a weather report. Thankfully the local network repeated the ep. during the weekend.

I amd totally loving this show. When the daughter was just sitting there before Castle woke up I'm like "OMG she has done drugs!" and I was all cut that I couldn't tell she was lying before. And then the turnstile things came up and I couldn't believe my ears LOL!

I love what Castle said about that being the worst thing she's done hehe.
