Summary: Cameron catches Daniel working out

For the first time in a long while there were no major catastrophes to deal with. Cameron was bored. He had spent the last hour doing his due diligence finishing his paperwork and now he was just wandering the halls of the SGC looking for someone to pester.
He had looked around for his teammates, but remembered Teal’c was offworld. Carter and Vala were shopping or something. He had gone by Jackson’s lab, but no one was there.
Coming up to the workout room he heard what sounded like faint grunting. He shrugged and thought maybe he could work out some of this excess energy.
He stuck his head in first to see who was in there and stopped in his tracks. He pulled his head back out and pressed his back against the wall next to the doorway.
He turned his head and looked in once more. Daniel was straddling a bench wearing a very tight tank top while lifting weights. Cameron suppressed the whimper that was fighting to come out. He really needed to get this crush under control, but catching the object of his affection sweaty with his muscles on display as he worked out was making that difficult.
He looked away taking a few deep breaths willing his erection to go away.
“Hey, Cam.”
Cameron startled and looked up seeing Sam walking towards him. She gave him an odd look before getting closer. Her gaze moved towards the entrance of the workout room and a wicked grin appeared on her face. She moved to stand up against the wall next to Cameron and whispered to him. “Enjoying the view?”
Cam scowled at her. “I thought you were busy shopping with Vala,” he whispered back.
“Why don’t you tell him already,” she said ignoring his words.
“Are you kidding?” He stared at her. “I seriously doubt he’d be interested in me.”
“You might be surprised,” she said looking over his shoulder and smiling.
“Hi guys.”
Cameron startled again and realized Daniel was standing next to him. “Uh hey Jackson,” Cameron straightened up. “You wanna get some lunch?”
“Sure, I just need to take a quick shower,” Daniel said. “Are you joining us, Sam?”
Cameron saw a look pass over Daniel’s face for a second and then it was gone. It went by so quickly he couldn’t quite place it.
“Uh no, I’ve got that doohickey to work on in my lab,” she pointed her thumb over her shoulder. “Besides, Vala and I already had lunch together. So I’ll see you guys later,” she turned and walked down the hall.
“Sam’s been hanging around Jack too much lately,” Daniel laughed. “She’s calling things doohickeys now.”
Cameron just nodded as he followed Daniel down the hall in the opposite direction Sam had taken. He watched as Daniel flipped his towel over his bare, sweaty shoulder. He took a deep breath praying Sam was right and this was a good idea.
