Walking down the hall, Cameron came to Joe’s bedroom door. It was opened and Joe as inside finishing packing. He and Sharon would be leaving soon to return to school.
“Hey,” Cam stuck his head in.
Joe looked over his shoulder and smiled. “Hey.”
“About ready to go?” Cam asked coming up next to the kid.
“Yeah,” Joe said. “Oh I wanted to let you know Sharon and I agreed to wait until we graduated before getting married.”
Cameron’s first inclination was to cheer very loudly, but he resisted it. “I’m glad to hear that,” he said in an even voice.
“I told Daniel a few minutes ago,” Joe said. “He seemed even more relieved than you. For a moment I thought he was going to cheer.”
Cam pressed his lips in a thin line feeling his face warm. Daniel was so going to get it later on.
“Hey, you about ready?” Daniel stuck his head into the room with Sharon and Tracy next to him.
“Yeah,” Joe walked over to them and kneeled down so he was at Tracy’s level. “Come on squirt, I’ll be back this summer,” the corners of his sister’s mouth were turned down and she looked on the verge of crying for the second time this day. “It’s not much longer, I promise,” he pulled her into a hug. She wrapped her arms around his neck in a vice grip.
Joe stood up bringing Tracy with him. He looked over her shoulder at Daniel for help.
“Tracy honey, you need to let Joe go,” Daniel wrapped his arms around Tracy’s middle as Joe pried Tracy’s hands apart.
Tracy sagged against Daniel and sniffed. “Promise you’ll be back soon?” She looked at Joe.
“Promise,” Joe said.
“What are your plans for the summer, Sharon?” Cam asked.
“I’ll probably visit my parents in Santa Fe New Mexico, but I’ll be staying with some friends in Colorado Springs for the rest of the summer,” she said.
“Well, I hate to rush you, but you guys better get going,” Daniel cut in.
Joe moved to hug Daniel only to pull back after a long moment.
“I’m glad we got to meet you, Sharon,” Daniel said.
“Me too Dr. Jackson,” she gave him a brief hug.
“Uh,” Daniel cut in.
She blushed. “Daniel,” he and Cam had told her to call them by their first names last night.
“I’ll see you two later,” Cam stopped and kissed Tracy, who was still in Daniel’s arms, and then kissed Daniel before moving ahead to the stairs.

It was late in the afternoon when Daniel heard footsteps coming up the stairs. He was sitting in the extra bedroom at the desk going through bills when Cameron came in.
Cam walked over and sat sideways on Daniel’s lap wrapping his arms around Daniel’s neck. He kissed Daniel for a long moment.
Daniel sighed as their lips parted and he had his arms wrapped around Cam’s middle. “You were gone awhile.”
“I went to church after getting the kids off to their plane,” it was something Cameron did occasionally. And when they got Joe and Tracy he took them as much as he could knowing it was something Kelly would want.
“So I hear mister ‘I am perfectly cool with the idea my teenager is getting married’ had almost cheered when told by aforementioned teenager he was going to wait to get married,” Cam raised an eyebrow at Daniel.
“I never said I wasn’t completely freaking out at the thought of him doing that now,” Daniel said. “I just didn’t think it would help if we freaked out in front of him.”
Cam gave him a skeptical look but let it go. “How’s Tracy?”
“She’s napping,” Daniel said. “But I think she’s starting to feel better. She doesn’t seem to be itching today. Although she’s still unhappy about Joe leaving.”
“I think we all are,” Cam said. “Too bad Teal’c and Vala were off world while they were here. We had a similar scene with Jack and Sam’s kids when we stopped by their house before going to the airport.”
“Oh there’s one interesting thing that happened while you were gone,” Daniel said. “Mind getting up, my legs are falling asleep.”
Cam stood up and helped Daniel up. “What’s this interesting thing that happened?” Cam asked.
“You have a message on the answering machine,” Daniel led Cameron downstairs and into the living room where the land line was with the answering machine.
Cam gave his lover an odd look but pressed the play button.
“Hello Mr. Mitchell, this is Sue at Mediaconnections, your cable company. I am calling to let you know there will be someone at your house tomorrow between ten AM and three PM. Thank you for your patience. If you have any questions please call us at 1-800…”
Cam shut off the message. He then leaned over and kissed Daniel.
“Cameron!” Tracy came bounding down the stairs.
“Hold it right there, young lady,” Cam walked over to the stairs. “What have we said about running in the house?”
“I’m not supposed to?” She replied.
“Exactly,” Cam picked her up off the stairs and into his arms. “Now, who’s hungry for KFC?”
“Me!” Both Daniel and Tracy said at once raising their hands.
“Indoor voices, you two,” Cam shook his head and smiled. “All right, food’s in the kitchen.”
Tracy wriggled out of Cam’s arms and onto the floor heading to the kitchen. Cameron walked alongside Daniel as they followed her into the kitchen.
