Female characters in fandom
Jul. 3rd, 2006 10:22 pmI feel like I can't go outside of reading ship fic without wanting to tear out my hair these days. The main female characters in several fandoms are portrayed as either desparate and cloying wanting the main male character or cold and indifferent.
Right now I'm writing a SGA fic that encompasses my favorite things. Namely friendship and ship. I guess if I can't find what I'm looking for in other people's fanfic I'll just have to write it myself.
In other news; I just got the book Wicked. So far I've read the first ten pages. It's an unusual story. Nothing what I expected. Not that I had anything specific I was expecting.
Finally I'm still waiting to find out whether the kitties I have, have feline leukemia. Hopefully I'll find out Wednesday afternoon. If they do they'll have to be put down. Hopefully they're fine. I'm pretty optimistic.
