I used to think wraithbait.com, while having mostly Sheppard/Mckay slash fic, was safe from character bashing. It's listed in its rules: no character bashing. They're either slipping or don't care anymore.
I've gotten sick of the "kill Weir" fic I've started seeing. I guess I should be glad there was a warning of sorts on the fic. Still given the particulars of the fic I'd like to think I'd be just as disgusted with it if it had been directed at Kavanaugh instead of Weir.
As tired as I am about the complaints about Sheppard's "Kirking" at least he doesn't get bashed in fic for it.
ETA: If Sheppard and Weir never get together, I couldn't care less. I refuse to be bothered by things tptb throw out that may go against them having a relationship as more than friends.
