I've been reading Castle's book Heat Wave It took until chapter 2 to really get into it but I've been enjoying it. In the chapter I am at now there was a poker scene and at the poker game there is this judge that basically a representation of Dan Castallaneta's character that has appeared a couple of times on Castle. In the scene in the book Nikki is sitting there imagining the judge (whose name btw is Simpson) say D'oh. And as you may or may not know Dan C is the voice of Homer Simpson. ;)

My only problem with the book, and I think Richard Castle would take issue with, is the poor editing. In th first three or four pages a couple of sentences are missing a word in each. Then there are two sets of dialogue in the same paragraph. It gets better as I go along but I still find a couple more errors here and there.

Yeah, I mean it's only about 200 pages in length, how hard could it have been? That was actually the main reason why I had a hard time getting into it at first.

Although there is one book I read once that had even worse editing. I think it was a book written by John Travolta but I don't remember now what it was called. While it's a kids book I was curious about it so borrowed it from the library. Everyone's dialogue was in the same paragraph in that book. It was such a mess, you didn't know who was saying what.
