sg_lab2I've been catching up on the Sanctuary podcasts for the first seven episodes recently. The most recent one was Pavor Nocturnus. Near the end of it Damian Kindler made a comment that had me shaking my head. He basically said he added the detail of Will and Kate getting together and having a child to make the viewers like Kate more. Basically saying if Will got together with her she must be a great person and we should all love her. *facepalm*
No Damian, that's not how you get your audience to like a character. It's you know showing the character. You cannot take a shortcut to get us to like her. She has to be liked on her own merits not because another character said so.
The only thing it managed to do was make me worried they're going to ship Kate and Will together in the near future.
