So I want to write fic. I'd really like to write some SGA fic. I've got a series I've started awhile ago that's about John and Elizabeth's daughter and various other characters' grown children. I'm just not very motivated to write in it even though I really want to be.

Not too many people like OC character fic which I can understand but it's tough when you want to write one. I know I should just write it for myself because it's important to me. It's just difficult when no one or not many people are interested in your fic.

I hope after all this time that you know that I love your fic. And 'that' SGA fic is especially intriguing. So, I'm not going to gush all over your work (although I'll gladly come back and gush if you think it'll help. :) )
What I was really thinking when I read your entry is that you have a talent for writing and you also have some unusual life circumstances. Not only might it be great for you to write this for yourself for whatever catharsis or satisfaction you could derive, but it would sure be great for other folks to get a little glimpse into what it means to live with those unusual circumstances. And because you have chosen fanfic as your forum, we all might be able to relate a little better, maybe even begin to understand.
This is probably too long, but I just had to 'cast my vote', so to speak.

I think I'm being a little overly critical of myself and I'm not satisfied with the last chapter I wrote in my Annabeth series. I don't even know where to go from here in it.

I'm feeling a little embarrassed by my post too. I feel like I'm begging for reviews.

Thank you as always for your kind words Shelly. :)

I am always interested in OC fic. To me it is a chance to see our regular characters in a different way. The POV of an OC can be whatever you want and is not limited to what we know about the series characters.

There is the danger of a Mary Sue character, but what you are proposing doesn't sound like that would be happening at all.

I hope you do write it. For your sake and no one else's.

Thanks Pocus, I finally got my muse going today and managed to write something. I have two stories in this universe now.

I find it a little confusing sometimes. I don't know if I really understand Mary Sue most of the time. It seems so many have varying ideas of what it means.
