Bat in the house

Well this was a new experience, one of my cats found a bat in my house and I ain't talkin about baseball equipment.

Thankfully my dad was here and was able to get it out. Although the cats didn't make it easy. Two of them were chasing it around the house.

LOL! I'm not sure who to feel more sorry for - you or the poor feline-terrorized bat. :D

LOL, well I must admit I wasn't feeling too charitable towards the bat at the time. :D

It was so weird, Toby was sniffing around a vent on the floor. I looked over and saw this lump of brown and suddenly realized some part of it was moving. Then it jumped onto the wall nearby. I do feel sorry for it now it retrospect. It flew on my china cabinet and went down behind it.

I have a utility room that has a door where the garage is connected. My dad was able to get the bat into that room and out the door. Which was a good thing because he couldn't get my cats to go into a bedroom to get them out of the way. He had the front door wide open and I was afraid the cats were gonna go out that door.

The night before last I was alerted by my cat Toby that something was in the fireplace. I have the opening boarded up so the cats can't get into it. I have a feeling it was the bat that was inside though. I just don't know how it got out and into my living room.
