Notes: lostcityfound wanted kiss fics. Het, platonic, first kisses, passionate kisses and such. This was what I came up with. It's another Weir/McKay friendship fic.

Elizabeth was standing in the doorway of the lab studying the lone figure in the room. His back was to her and his shoulders were hunched over causing her own spine to ache in sympathy.

In a little over ten hours they would be attending Carson’s memorial. A team was in the process of cleaning up the damage caused less than twenty-four hours earlier.

Rodney had disappeared after seeing the wreckage. John and Ronon had tried to hold the scientist back not wanting their friend to see the horror that awaited him in that hall.

Elizabeth took a deep breath and crossed the room to stand next to Rodney. He was staring at his computer. He didn’t even make a move to acknowledge Elizabeth’s presence.

Reaching out with her left hand she cupped the back of his head and pulled him closer to her. She rested her cheek on the crown of his head before turning her head enough so her lips could press a kiss to the top of his head.

Elizabeth’s cheek returned to its previous resting place as she felt Rodney’s face turn in and bury itself in the crook of her neck and shoulder.
