New Show

I've found myself somewhat obsessed with a new show. Showtime's The Tudors. Anytime Showtime has a new show I tend to think it's going to be the usual kind of show this channel has aired over the years. Most of their shows have been wall to wall sex and swearing because it's showtime and they can have wall to wall sex and swearing. The characters are always vapid and a big cliche.

This show however is full of interesting characters. And I just love this time in history. I've always found King Henry VIII and this particular time in history interesting.

Sure there's sex and swearing, but it's not constant. Not that I'm a prude, but after awhile, sex scenes just for the sake of having them gets a bit tedious and boring. People didn't swear publically the way they do now. So there's swearing in private.

My only problem with the show is it doesn't do a very good job of showing how much time has passed from one episode to the next.

I had wanted to see that show so bad! I just knew it would be interesting.

I have the same issue with sex and swearing. I'm currently very involved in Nip/Tuck, but after a while the sex scenes just for the hell of it get annoying. I'm very glad in Nip/Tuck they did have concequences with them.

When Nip/Tuck was first advertised I thought it was a movie and I really thought it was going to be the same stuff (although tamer since it's on FX) so I have never watched it.
