Stupid Cable Company
Dec. 8th, 2011 02:23 pmMy roommate had her name on our cable and Internet account and I had it changed to my name. I had this new customer deal that was suppose to be $89.85 a month. Except that didn't include modem rental and probably tax.
The cable guy comes and has only one digital cable box when it was suppose to be three and then he tells me I have to get the DVR separate (first DVR for me) when he says it wasn't part of the order.
And last but not least I didn't get all the channels I previously had. I have since added them but now I'll be paying somewhere in the area of $120.00 a month instead of the $89.85 I had thought.

It's a good thing my summer shows are on cable. This way they repeat and I have pleanty of chances to watch them.
Starting on the 13th I'll have three different shows all on at the same time on Tuesday nights.

Well, my cable company is no longer carrying the Fox network. Oh well, ever since Fox cancelled Firefly I've hated the network.
In the fifteen to twenty years the network has been around I've only really liked three shows and two were cancelled long before their time. Dark Angel was cancelled after only two seasons (although I must admitt I wasn't as pleased with its second season) only to be replaced by Firefly which lasted less than a season. I didn't watch Firefly at first because I was so pissed about DA's cancellation, but I decided to give it a try and it really started to grow on me before it was cancelled. X-Files was its best show and it started back when Fox would give shows a chance. Although I think they should have ended X-Files a little sooner, but they were no doubt trying to eek out every little last drop of that show for ratings.
On something that I'm so annoyed about; last weekend I was flipping through the channels and came across Thoughtcrimes, a pilot that had Joe Flanigan, but wasn't picked up. Unfortunately when I found it, it was already an hour into it. Man I wish they'd put it on DVD.
