My Valentine's day

Well, I went to a singles banquet at a church tonight. It was mentioned in the bulletin las Sunday at my church and a friend of mine from church wanted to go. The woman who organized it was speaking on a microphone and said something about having a good time without drinking. I think I could have used a couple drinks to get through that and I don't hardly ever drink. :S

:D I forgot to mention the guy dressed as Elvis with the ugly jumpsuit and the game people were picked to play. It was a fill in the missing lyrics of Elvis songs. At least I got out. LOL.

There was no emphasis on romance in this banquette thankfully. Pluse most of the people there were older than me. And there were more women there than men.

Personally I've never looked at Valentine's day with an empasis on romantic love.

Very true about the media. The commercialization of Valentine's day too. I'll hear "I'm all alone on Valentine's day, nobody to kiss" and such. Meh, doesn't really bother me.
